Shoe care
At Shock we have a small but great selection of the best products for shoe care. If you have a pair of leather shoes or boots, you should lubricate them with grease or conditioner BEFORE you start using them. The conditioner softens the leather and is both moisture and dirt repellent. Intended for a few hours at a time to break in your new shoes. Leather is a living and organic material, so clean and lubricate your leather shoes regularly. A really great product that we can recommend using is our “Wonder balm” from Dr. Martens!
Using boots and heels
To make your shoes last as long as possible, you should not: take the heels off or put them on using the other foot. ALWAYS lace up the shoes/boots so that you can easily take them off, without having to tear and pull. Feel free to use shoehorns and shoehorns. If your shoes or boots get wet, you can dry them by putting some newspaper in them to absorb the moisture. Never dry leather shoes or boots on a radiator or other heat source as the heat can easily cause the leather to crack. Heeled shoes. Keep a close eye on your heels and re-heel them regularly. Otherwise, you will soon wear out the shoe itself.
Shoe care for patent leather & vegan leather
Dr Martens shoes with patent leather or vegan leather (plastic) should not be lubricated with leather grease or the like. Instead, wipe the shoes with a slightly damp cloth if they get dirty.
